The Vision

As is characteristic of music videos of this genre, I want to utilise fast, sweeping camera movement in the performance element, moving quickly around the performers to mirror the aggression and power behind both the sound of the song (which is heavy) and the meaning behind the song (the anger and frustration around the state of the world and the toll this takes on someone who is already struggling with mental health)

The Vision

• In the studio performance I want the colours to be vibrant and bold, I’m going to use the contrasting colours of green and red to suggest between good and evil happening within the performer’s mind as well as happening across the world.

• Using the coloured lights, I want to try and recreate a Rembrandt style lighting on the performers face in order to ensure depth and contrast on their face with the levels of the light, not just through colour.

• In the outdoor, narrative element similar colours will be used but muted, so turquoise blue/greens, and oranges and yellows. I will use both the yellow tones street lights on location and artificial blue toned LEDs to create the eery atmosphere similar to that of Joker.
